Meet Sharon Crowther
Podiatrist on the Gold Coast

Sharon Crowther is a podiatrist at Harbour Town Doctors in Biggera Waters, providing general podiatry and foot care for adults and children across the northern Gold Coast. She holds a Bachelor of Podiatry from the University of Newcastle and later completed a Pedorthics degree at Southern Cross University on the Gold Coast, with a focus on the design of medical-grade footwear and orthotic appliances.

Before joining the team, Sharon spent three years as a clinical supervisor for podiatry students at the University of Newcastle teaching clinic at Wyong Hospital. That teaching background shows in the way she works: a thorough assessment, a clear explanation of what is causing your foot pain, and a management plan you understand before you leave the room.

Sharon looks at the whole picture, including your gait and posture, before recommending footwear or orthotics. Her plans often combine orthotics, targeted exercises and practical footwear advice. She has a strong interest in feet affected by diabetes, arthritis and neurological conditions, in both adults and children, and continues further study as part of her ongoing professional development.

Referrals and Funding
Ways to Pay for Podiatry

Eligible patients with a chronic condition may be able to claim a Medicare rebate for podiatry through a GP management plan. Ask one of our GPs whether you qualify.

Care That Works
Alongside Your GP

Because Sharon consults inside Harbour Town Doctors, your GP and podiatrist can work from the same plan. This matters most for patients living with diabetes, where regular foot checks are part of ongoing chronic disease management, and for older patients completing a 75+ health assessment. Our Accredited Practising Dietitian Hossein Khosravi can look after the nutrition side of diabetes care in the same building.

If your GP refers you, Sharon can report back on what she finds so your care stays connected. You can also book with her directly for a private appointment.
