About Dr Haseeb Alam
Dr Haseeb Alam has worked as a medical practitioner in Australia for over 18 years and moved to the Gold Coast in 2008. Before general practice he worked across a wide range of hospital departments, including Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry, Paediatrics, Cardiology, General Medicine and Geriatrics. That hospital grounding is why patients often see him for the things that feel urgent or hard to pin down, as well as for routine care.
As a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, Dr Alam has extensive experience managing emergencies, acute and chronic illness, children’s health, mental health, and work related accidents and injuries. He works with patients over the long term, which suits anyone living with diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease or arthritis who wants one GP who knows their history.
Teaching is a real part of his week. Dr Alam is involved in the medical student training and teaching programs for both Griffith University and Bond University, which keeps his practice close to current Australian clinical guidance.
Patients describe him as caring, friendly and empathetic, with a calm bedside manner and time to explain things properly. He is fluent in English, Urdu and Punjabi. Outside the clinic he plays cricket and is interested in natural history, travel and learning about different cultures.
