Dr. Nidah

Dr Nidah, female GP at Harbour Town Doctors in Biggera Waters Gold Coast

Female GP in Biggera Waters for Women’s Health and In-Clinic Procedures

MBChB (South Africa), FRACGP

Dr Nidah is one of the female GPs at Harbour Town Doctors in Biggera Waters. She completed her medical degree in South Africa and has practised in Australia for more than 10 years, earning her GP Fellowship through training in rural communities.

What sets her appointments apart is the range of procedures she performs herself. Implanon insertion and removal, skin biopsies, iron infusions, venesections and suturing are all handled on site, so women’s health and minor procedures do not need a referral elsewhere. She also covers antenatal care, child health and weight management.

About Dr Nidah

Dr Nidah completed her medical studies in South Africa and has built her career in Australia over the past decade. She recently attained her GP Fellowship, training in rural communities along the way, which gave her a broad understanding of how differently healthcare needs present from one community to the next.

Her practice leans towards women’s health and procedural work. Rather than referring patients on for minor procedures, she performs them herself during a normal appointment. That includes inserting and removing contraceptive implants, taking skin biopsies, carrying out iron infusions for patients with low iron, performing venesections, and suturing wounds. For many patients that means one visit instead of three, and a shorter wait.

Alongside that she looks after antenatal care, child health, obesity and weight management, and chronic disease management. Her approach is holistic, which in practice means she is as interested in sleep, stress and diet as in the presenting problem.

Patients describe her care as personalised and compassionate, and she is committed to supporting people over the long term rather than appointment by appointment. Outside work she spends time with family and friends and enjoys exploring the Gold Coast.
